Dr. Tina Siu was born and raised in Southern California. She grew up in Alhambra, went to local schools and then to Occidental College and the University of Southern California. She graduated from the USC School of Dentistry in 1986 and the orthodontic program also at USC in 1988 where she earned a masters in craniofacial biology and a certificate in the specialty of orthodontics. On completion of her training she entered private practice with her mother, Dr. Annie Siu, who is also an orthodontist. Dr. Tina Siu opened her own practice in San Marino in 1990. In addition to private practice, Dr. Siu worked for three years at the Los Angeles County Hospital dental facility where she gained a wealth of experience in the management of orthognathic surgery patients.
Dr. Tina Siu is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association, and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Siu has received awards from the American Association of Women Dentists and the honorary dental fraternity, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Siu is committed to her specialty. In addition to constantly attending scientific meetings, she is a member of the Angle Orthodontic Society which is one of the honor societies in the specialty. Dr. Siu cares about her community. She has been a trustee of the San Marino Schools Foundation for many years. She was a member and president of the Rotary Club of Alhambra which provides community service for Alhambra and the surrounding communities. Dr. Siu has been a strong supporter of the YMCA, helping them raise money for their programs. She has also spoken at the Huntington Middle School Career Day. As a volunteer for the local dental society she participates annually in dental health screenings at the local elementary schools.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to Dr. Winston Chee and has two children and a dog. She enjoys cooking, traveling with her family and has a passion for golf.
